Dear Teresathat night I was watching in-coincidence Oprah show when you started talking about Michael & his life his childhood I have emotionally affected specially after I saw his pictures when he was a child and you continue talking telling how beautiful blonde with blue eyes extremely patent he wasthat moment I decided to search for you & write to you regard this issue .
I am a man from Iraq where Michael sacrifice his life for not only his country freedom but our freedom aswell. Allow me to tell you that you are lucky because you can visit his grave & talk to him pray for him while I have an uncle had been taken by Saddam's security forces in year 1983 from his store in Baghdad & never showed up again never come back & still know nothing about him yet & he had no grave to visit & to pray for although we seeked a lot after regime fall and liberation of Iraq by Michael & his companions.
I would like to tell you that we are supporting you & wish to offer assistance in any way we can in order not to feel with disconnection and I would like to tell Michael that we are unable to thank & gratitude to him & to his sacrifice for freedom. Please when you visit his tomb next time tell him that I wish I was there to pray for & to thank him as he gave his life for others to survive and to live freely in dignity. Best regards to his father his sisters Amanda & Casey his brother Robert. With respect Nassry from Iraq Close

I as so many others watched you on Oprah and my heart broke for you.
I sat in front of my TV and cried with you I can't imagine losing my son for any reason and the pain you must carry must be horrific.
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to your son for serving our country for his bravery for his sacrifice.    Also to you because you are the one left with the biggest sacrifice of all your son.
I am sure your son is up there watching you and is so proud of his mother and her bravery and strength.   I guess we know where he got it from.
Sincerely heart broken for you.

Teresa I saw your story tonight on Oprah and wept for your loss. I have never lost a child and have never had a child in the military...but I am a Mother...and we share that bond. When I saw the pictures of your son I immediately thought of my youngest son (who is 13 now). His blonde hair. His blue eyes. His charming smile and that radiating glow of charm and wit that is so very apparent at first sight. Your son and my son share that likeness. My heart breaks for you and for the pain and the loss you must feel.

I wanted to find you and send you a personal message that your son will not be forgotten. His sacrifice your sacrifice his life will be remembered. Your son must have been a very special and very brave young man to stand up for his country and for all of us. Our freedom is so important to us and his bravery and commitment to his country will never be forgotten!

I will be continually praying for you and for comfort and peace. I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around you and you will feel his love and the love of your son through God.

Rejoice for the time that you had him on earth. Remember him as he was and celebrate his life. Be happy that you will one day see him in heaven. :-) God Bless you Teresa Arciola.

I just saw you on Oprah and was deeply touched. Go on and do what makes you feel good and try to restore your soul.
I am European I did not loose anyone in a war and I have been through one as a child in Africa at age 5.

I can imagine just what he has been through. As impressions are multiplied when one is a child.

You are so upright to stand up for the many others who do not.
Mei this war end sooner than later as it is the downfall of America.
Mei one day come when one can join a force that only protects a country locally peacefully.

I find momentary peace in photography. Here are 40.000 family friendly photos that may provide you with some armchair travel
that may take away your thought be it for one hour only.
LOVE & PEACE.

I really felt for Mrs Arciola today and i was just so moved.

Be proud of your mom Michael as she is living on in memory of you. And Mrs Arciola you should be proud of you for speaking out in honor of all militants especially your son. This was a wake up call. The world will not forget your message was heard all the way from Montreal Canada.

I was so touched by your segment on Oprah today. The pain on your face is so real. I liked when you said you go to his grave because thats the last thing you can do for him. I lost my 21 y/o son in a car accident 5 years ago and I totally get what you meant by that. I am still taking care of his dog that he loved (that Im not so crazy about) but I always say its the last thing I can do for him. Even though we lose the child we will never lose the need to mother them. God Bless Close

Dear Teresa I just watched you on the Oprah show. I type this with tears in my eyes. My husband retired from the Army last year after 20 years. Every day I give thanks that he returned from his deployment to Iraq in 2003-2004. I want you to know that I did not know of Michael until today but he was prayed for and his sacrifice is not forgotten. Just wanted to send you my love. I pray that you may find peace in your life...I know you will always miss Michael but I'll bet he would want you to have peace and joy in your life until you see him again. What a beautiful smile he had. I know you must feel blessed to be his Mom. Hugs Amy P.S.--are you active with the Gold Star Moms? A great organization! Close

I just saw your mom on the Oprah show and felt compelled to thank you for your sacrifice so that my family may live free. You are a brave and inspirational young man and Heaven is lucky to have you.

To Michael's mother:  I too am the mother of a son (14) and cannot imagine your grief.  Please know that you and your brave son will forever be in my prayers along with all of the other military members who have sacrificed their lives as well as their families who will forever have a void in their hearts.  God Bless You All! You will not be forgotten!

I just watched Oprah and saw the mother of Michael Arciola who lost his life for our country. I have a son Michael and I cannot imagine the grief that his mother must be living each day. I cried with her as she read the book "Corduroy" at his grave. That was one of my son's favorite stories as a young child too. We don't seem to realize the sacrifice all these young men and women make each day for our country. Thanking them just doesn't seem adequate. This segment on Oprah has given me such insight into what all these families are handling every day. God bless you Teresa and your son Michael. Close
